The job is based at SixPeaks Bio’s and Ridgeline’s facilities in Basel at the Technologiepark.
In the company’s department of Pharmaceutical Development, we are looking for an experienced (Senior) Research Associate, Bioanalytics mAbs and Bioconjugates. The successful candidate will have gained experience from work in a relevant area of analytical assay development in the biopharmaceutical industry. She/he will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with strong organizational skills, eager to deliver tailored quality assurance standards to early development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- The position is a technical and bench position responsible to perform and develop analytical assays for characterization of biologics drugs and bioconjugates in the pre-clinical and pharmaceutical development area
- Perform various ELISA and cell-based assays, e.g. reporter gene assays, cell proliferation assays, receptor internalization and receptor recycling assays using cell lines and primary cells for functional characterization of mAbs and bioconjugates
- Perform assays for biophysical characterization of mAbs and bioconjugates including various chromatographic techniques (e.g. HP-SEC, HP-CEX, HIC), electrophoresis (e.g. cGE, cIEF) and viscosity determination
- Oversee routine cell culture techniques including thawing, splitting and freezing of cells (cell lines and primary cells)
- Support analytical method development and know how transfer to external partners (CDMOs, CROs)
- Support developability assessment, forced degradation & stability studies
- Support maintenance of internal data summaries in pre-clinical and pharmaceutical development areas
- General laboratory management tasks such as ordering, inventory management, documentation, review and establishment of procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Apprenticeship with 5+ years experience or B.Sc./M.Sc. degree with equivalent level of experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in analytical development
- Experience with cell culture and cell based assays
- Experience with biologicals, preferably mAb or bioconjugates
- Knowledge of chromatographic assays and capillary electrophoresis
- Organized with attention to detail and quality driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Highly motivated team-player with can-do attitude, flexibility to learn new techniques and passion to work in dynamic and innovative environment
