Ridgeline Discovery GmbH is seeking a Finance Assistant (Sachbearbeiter:in Finanz- und Rechnungswesen) who will be proactive, self-starter and reliable in providing support in Finance matters for approximately 12 months as a maternity leave cover.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic, hands-on, detail-oriented, eager to learn and possesses exceptional organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting and administrative activities
- Maintain purchase order records and matching PO to invoices
- Monitor and manage the shared finance inbox and respond to routine queries
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
- Recording and posting all financial transactions in the accounting system (including bank transactions, incoming and outgoing invoices, and credit card statements)
- Vendor set-up and management
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation
- Other projects and supporting as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Work experience in Switzerland is required
- Commercial apprenticeship (Kaufmännische Grundausbildung, KV, WMS or similar), preferably complemented by further training in accounting (e.g. Sachbearbeiter:in Finanz- und Rechnungswesen)
- First practical experience in accounts payable or accounting operations (including bookkeeping)
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
- Service orientated, trustworthy, flexible, efficient and precise approach to work
- Willingness to learn and support a dynamic, multi-entity environment
- English required (working language); German is an asset
