To strengthen our Preclinical development team, we are seeking a Preclinical PK/PD Modeler. This role is well suited for a (senior / principal) scientist with a strong experimental life‑sciences background who has developed solid expertise in preclinical PK/PD modeling and enjoys close collaboration with research teams.
The position will support both small‑ and large‑molecule programs across therapeutic areas and will involve the design, coordination, interpretation, and communication of in vivo pharmacology studies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and apply PK/PD models for small and large molecules
- Establish and refine in vitro-in vivo correlations (IVIVC) and integrate in vitro data in translational PK/PD strategies
- Develop human PK/PD and exposure predictions, including first‑in‑human dose estimations and early translational modeling to support clinical study planning
- Support programs at early research, helping to inform compound design, optimization strategies, compound selection and support the definition of target product profiles
- Design, coordinate, oversee, analyze, and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies using population‑based modeling approaches
- Work closely with internal team members and CROs to ensure studies are fit for purpose, model‑informed, and aligned with project goals and strategy
- Act as a quantitative scientist within cross‑functional project teams
- Communicate modeling results and recommendations clearly to other scientists and stakeholders
- Contribute to internal reports, data management, project documentation, and, where appropriate, external presentations or publications
- Mentor scientists and help shape best practices in quantitative pharmacology
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD or MSc life‑sciences with relevant education and training in quantitative pharmacology
- Strong experimental background, particularly in in vivo pharmacology, with applied modeling experience
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in preclinical PK/PD modeling
- Practical experience modeling both small molecules and biologics
- Strong hands‑on experience with population PK/PD approaches and working knowledge of PBPK modeling for small molecules
- Experience contributing to pharmacology study design and data interpretation
- Experience supporting IND‑enabling or early translational activities is considered a plus
- Experience applying data‑science approaches (e.g., workflow automation, advanced visualization, or multivariate analysis) in a preclinical research setting is considered a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid understanding of pharmacology and DMPK principles for small and large molecules
- Ability to translate experimental data into actionable quantitative insights
- Comfortable working at the interface of wet‑lab science and modeling
- Interest in continued growth as a quantitative preclinical scientist
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
